October 2026 - All good, for now

Hi,

Seeing that almost everyone doesn't use social media… hell yeah! High 5 everyone! I will continue to use this blog as my general announcement place, thing…
I'm thinking of posting at the end of every month, comics status, updates and so on… and a link to the article will be in the comments of the latest page of each comic…
Technically, you should be able to comment even if you don't have an account, just like on CF or you can use the comic page where the post was linked.

So…

The Library’s recovery is going very well… I’m just about to finish chapter 17 that will cover the current temporary daily upload schedule up until March.
The panels for the chapter are completed and imported onto the pages, I just need to add the dialogue and translation.

While I do have a few more chapters to make before I reach my normal schedule, I did notice that with Ch 17 I’ve reached where I left off with the first iteration of the comic.
I’m also approaching the equilibrium with my other comics, so I will soon start working on them as well, but more on that later.

I don’t know what other people think of the comic’s reboot but I, for one, am very, very happy with the results so far. The first 2D version was OK and I still like it, but it felt rushed… mostly because I did rush it. I was like “Oh man! I can’t wait to reach that character or that scene, come on! Go faster, faster” So yeah… Also, as much as I love crossovers in cartoons, I did exaggerate with the characters and oh man… you have no idea the chaos I was prepared to unleash, but… it was just too much, I also noticed that despite all the years working on it, I did not evolved with my 2D characters and CGI to a level that was happy with and then… F-y-T came and was the straw that broke camel’s back and caused the full reboot.
I think the new version is better structured and better passed than the old one and my story telling did improved a bit.

Graphically, well… there are the good and the bad, but the 2D version also have good and bad, the only difference is that with 3D is a lot easier to fix mistakes or make changes. Like the scene with Kaylee upside down, some readers were disappointed that her skit didn’t fell so I was able to go back to that scene and make the changes.

Do I feel sad that I had to give up on the fan-fiction characters? Hmmm… actually… not that much… In fact I think the new method of using the fan-fiction characters only as inspiration, like Kaylee being inspired by Callie Briggs from Swat Kats or Seraphina being inspired by Sibella from Scooby-Doo, is a much better idea because now I don’t have to worry that much on how they would have reacted if they were in my story. Also now I don’t bastardize the characters that much.

However, there is one fan fiction character that remained, and as you may have guessed it, it’s Alice, from the video game Alice Madness Returns. Funny enough, I don’t remember ever planning for her to be on the original version. I think decided to add her when I made the sad discovery that the final video game in the trilogy was cancelled and I was like: “Fine! I’ll make my own Alice story with sexy catgirls and trains!”. I will take some “creative liberty limitations” with her like you may have noticed with the Cheshire Cat…

OK, this post is turning into a novel, so I’ll stop here.

Thanks for reading my little, confusing masterpiece, and for sticking up until to this point. And see you in the next post.

P.S. The next comic I’ll be working on will be the “Soyuz – 69” comic. By my expectation I will start posting at the end of November if all goes well. The Upload schedule will be a temporary 2 pages a week until it’s recovered.
