My PC does not have enough memory for the Railroad

Recently I've restarted The Railroad in the hope I can create a sci-fi style of comic.


In the test phases everything seemed fine but after a few pages, when I had more than one character in the frame, or a more complex scene the software started crashing when processing the images. 

 

Judging by the task manager it appears I don't have enough memory, even with the very low resolution I'm rendering at.


I've noticed having problems with complex scenes from a while ago when I noticed that all tenders became more "grainy". Usually the fix for this was to close the program so the video ram can clear.


Unlike my other comics where a use 3 different software to create 1 panel, in the new Railroad everything is done in one shot, hence why the software is running out of memory.


Right now I'm very busy with the Library, F-y-T and the co-authoring thing, so I don't have time to test out solutions. So I guess I'll have to cut my losses and cancel the Railroad once again and transfer the characters to my other characters.

OK, so a little explanation. When I first designed Helena she was a female centaur, I wanted to take on the challenge of a lesbian centaur scene, but at the last minute I've decided to make her trans, then I've realized that the sex scene would have to easy to make, centaur on top of another centaur... pfff... booooring. So I wanted to return to the original idea of a lesbian scene, parts of the dialogue would have been changed but I didn't want to stop the comic again to make the changes. F-y-t - Character upgrade - Mesa

With time I upgrade my character designs, this is mostly because of more advanced rendering techniques that don't work with old models or textures very well, at least not with all, there are some exceptions such as Silvie, Amaya, Volna... So the first character undergoing this change will be Mesa. Hope you like her new design, I for one consider it an improvement. I've decided to change to a more human body texture (similar to the one form the Library add hair it is not shown in the image but I've kept the snake part for her lower body

A surprising succcess

 It appears I've managed to merge F-y-t with the Railroad faster than I expected. yay I will read the comic soon to check if there are any problem with the page order, but I'm pretty sure it's ok. Now the only "problem" is that The Railroad is now somewhat ahead o schedule. After Crystal's story I will post the chapters that were from the Railroad so I don't know how may of you read the new chapters from the old Railroad... so yeah... sorry about that...
