OMG... I'm going to loose everyone's respect for this but I'm going to die laughing

So, while randomly browsing on youtube I saw someone put low resolution images to enhance them in an AI image thing... And got me curious... what if I put my 2D drawings in something like this... so I did... found a site that offered a limited free AI image 2D to AI image thing... So made an account... And put everybody's favorite kitty cat... And the results are in... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... ....   BWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I'M DYEING HERE!!!! OH! IT'S.... AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I can't even figure out how... the body... XD XD XD .... Oh... man... it tried... Oh... it's... oh man... how can you not laugh at this... ... But I'll give the poor AI credit... one of it's reinterpretations turned out quite nice: She looks like she has a piled banana on her head XD

The first Library

Image
You won't believe this but,    While preparing the back-up drive for the database I've found the first version of the Library. Backthen I wanted to draw the backgrounds as well If I remember correctly I've went to color when I've reached the scene when Death first appeared. Though the problem was the backgrounds, coloring them would have taken too much time and the risk of forgetting details. And that's when I've decided to go with 3D backgrounds. Yes, with 3D it takes a lot of time at first to build the props, texturing, arrange the scene and lighting. But in the long run, it's a time saver and has a lot of reusability. What do you think? Would you have read the comic if you've seen it in this style? XD

Wow... this is... disappointing...

I've completed a panel with the Mad Hatter in the 2D style and... boy... does he look boooring... The overall body proportions are OK, the stray jacket turned out well... but he does not look menacing Probably due to the low detail style or maybe it's the angle or the pose I don't know... To be honest he reminds me of Elmer Fudd... The 3D female version didn't look menacing either but then it was not supposed to. And not to mention it took a lot of time to draw him, I don't mind spending time working on a character but I want to see some good results.  Don't think I'll go through with the 2D-3D hybrid idea to full extend. I'll stick with the idea of turning all characters that I can in to 3D, at least that way I'll just work once the character.   TLDR The poor results don't compensate the time spent. I'll go 2D if and only if I loose the character database. And I will focus more on what I've always been somewhat good at, that 3D backg

The price of the Library

After analyzing the list of character styles I've noticed that fanfiction characters are the ones that will be mostly in the 2D style. So.... I think I'm back where I started, as in pages will take a lot more time to make especially when I'll have scenes with fanfiction characters, and there are a lot... I'm starting to think that the transition to 3D was a waste of time and should have stuck with full 2D, but I'm tiered of always redoing the same thing over and over again. Buuuut... on the positive side, this 3D-2D hybrid style will help me a lot with "crowd characters", as in characters that are mostly there to populate the world. As an example, I've used this method with the russian android army, all the soldiers were 3D cell shaded. Sadly this method does not look to good on "biological" characters (humans, animals, creatures), but now with this hybrid style I can make the world a bit more populated more easily. Now... the price of all o

An interesting suggestion

I've been having a short discussion with one of my readers, Gelmintator, he suggested I combine 3D and 2D characters, like having the main characters in 3D and secondary characters in 2D. I think this discussion was brought up before, but I was not sure back then.... anyway. Now... I don't have "main characters", I have an idea/story that has characters in it, and my method is that a chapter(s) will focus on specific character, then I move to another place and focus on other characters. But I digress... Since some characters look good in 2D but not in 3D and some look good in 3D but not in 2D, I will go with Gelmintator's idea of combining the character that look the best in that specific style (or in the style I'm capable of making them) So, without further ado... here is the the list of witch character will be in what style an why: Characters  Style  Comment  The Grim Reaper 2D It's easier in 3D but, he's already 3D in the Railroad Katya 3D F
