Hardware and software issues. All comic except the new library will be on hold.

I currently have some hardware and software issues that are slowing me drastically. Some backgrounds have been lost and need to be remade or replaced. Such as Amay's hose from F-y-T, the latest scene whit Sibella and Alice in the old library. For now I will focus only on the new library until I get things sorted. Cheers.

Silvie v3.3

Image
As requested here are a few images with some different angles and full body poses. I've made the following changes: - Rounded her face as much as I can - increased the size of her head (in a way to keep the idea that if the heads fist then the rest of the body will fit through a hole) - increased the size of her ears (good thing she's not bald XD) - made some small changes to the face - fixed some problem with the eyes (they were going out of the eye-sockets when looking side to side) Personally I'm starting like the new version a lot more. Also, don't cry too much for the old version, don't know if anyone noticed it yet, but the old version is actually Bastet but with a tiger skin and short hair XD   Oh... and I had to give her underwear because the blog does not have NSFW warnings.

New style question for some character of F-y-T

Image
I will soon resume F-y-T... However, I did some upgrade to some of the character. The reason for this was because the old ones were... well... old models... and they were quite difficult to work with.   Now my question is: What do you thing? I'm mostly interested for Silvie, since I did try to upgrade her before, but people did not like the results that much, and to be honest, neither did I: The expressions are pre-made, I only use them for tests like this. The disadvantages for the old model was: difficulty with working with her facial expressions, and low resolution textures. If you don't like how she looks and prefer the old version please tell me as soon as possible so I don't make to many pages with the new model. Personally I like this version because it's a lot easier to work with. Aesthetically both look the same to me... maybe the old version was a little more cute, but this one is not that bad.

Answer...

This is mostly in response to the comment: “You do realize that if you had this many pages finished you could have spread them out once a week for well over six months and used that time to work on the other stuff ? “

New comic scheduels and priorities

The latest decision regarding my comics. I've created priorities to try and optimize my workflow for my comics.

Ahahahaha.... I found them!

I found the lost pages database! It appears I've moved them to a different folder, no wonder I could not find the in the Recycle Bin (very rarely shift-delete)... However I will not be returning to the 2D style, I reached the conclusion that it's not a feasible decision. There is also a second possibility...   Like I mentioned before I usually write the story of my comics depending on the limitations I encounters, and when I've decided to go with 3D characters I had to make some changes to the story, for example Death and Lenin's transition and so on.   So I think I'm going to re-upload "The Wallachian Archive" with the full 2D characters with the story adapted for them. And no, I will no be making any changes to the Wallachian Library anymore, it will continue as it is with 3D character and the story associated with the style.

The Wallachian Library is closed for maintenence

The Wallachian Library is closed for story and page maintenance.   I have once more written myself into a corner.   Sorry. 😿

Testing the AI with a sketch

Image
My latest image was my last attempt at 2D characters. This one: And this was the sketch for it. I stopped when I started coloring Alice and noticed that I don't like the results so I just stopped and came to terms that I don't think I'll ever draw again. Anyway, here are the results form the sketch with the "Ethereal Enchantments"style applied: I'm starting to think that this is not the style that I want. This one appears to be the most accurate one, don't know if I changed the style or not. And no, I will not be using AI with line art. AI barely gets the color right when I show it the color, let alone line art only XD. Oh... and here is the unfinished colored version: I'm very disappointed with the result :( But on the plus side, I think the final 3D version looks awesome, even though they don't look like the original characters I like the interpretations. And to be honest, Sibella looks a lot better in my 3D interpretation that the 2D one form O...

Man... this AI was not preppared for me

Image
I've made a test with one of my latest 3D CGI images. This one to be exact. So I've first tested the cartoon stile and these are the results: Uhmmmm.... yeah... I think the second one is the most accurate. Then I tried with the "Ethereal Enchantments" it seemed the most anime-is of all the styles. And the results are... All the faces are broken... Hmmm... I don't know... this AI is not all that impressive as people make it to be. Or it's because I don't pay money to use this one.

OMG... I'm going to loose everyone's respect for this but I'm going to die laughing

Image
So, while randomly browsing on youtube I saw someone put low resolution images to enhance them in an AI image thing... And got me curious... what if I put my 2D drawings in something like this... so I did... found a site that offered a limited free AI image 2D to AI image thing... So made an account... And put everybody's favorite kitty cat... And the results are in... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... ....   BWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I'M DYEING HERE!!!! OH! IT'S.... AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I can't even figure out how... the body... XD XD XD .... Oh... man... it tried... Oh... it's... oh man... how can you not laugh at this... ... But I'll give the poor AI credit... one of it's reinterpretations turned out quite nice: She looks like she has a piled banana on her head XD

The first Library

Image
You won't believe this but,    While preparing the back-up drive for the database I've found the first version of the Library. Backthen I wanted to draw the backgrounds as well If I remember correctly I've went to color when I've reached the scene when Death first appeared. Though the problem was the backgrounds, coloring them would have taken too much time and the risk of forgetting details. And that's when I've decided to go with 3D backgrounds. Yes, with 3D it takes a lot of time at first to build the props, texturing, arrange the scene and lighting. But in the long run, it's a time saver and has a lot of reusability. What do you think? Would you have read the comic if you've seen it in this style? XD

Wow... this is... disappointing...

Image
I've completed a panel with the Mad Hatter in the 2D style and... boy... does he look boooring... The overall body proportions are OK, the stray jacket turned out well... but he does not look menacing Probably due to the low detail style or maybe it's the angle or the pose I don't know... To be honest he reminds me of Elmer Fudd... The 3D female version didn't look menacing either but then it was not supposed to. And not to mention it took a lot of time to draw him, I don't mind spending time working on a character but I want to see some good results.  Don't think I'll go through with the 2D-3D hybrid idea to full extend. I'll stick with the idea of turning all characters that I can in to 3D, at least that way I'll just work once the character.   TLDR The poor results don't compensate the time spent. I'll go 2D if and only if I loose the character database. And I will focus more on what I've always been somewhat good at, that 3D backg...
